From Pixels to Patterns: Machine Learning for Bioimage Analysis
In recent years, machine learning has revolutionized microscopy image analysis by providing methods that enable to uncover spatial details of living matter at unprecedented accuracy and scale. In his inaugural lecture, Prof. Weigert will give an overview of such modern data-driven approaches for bioimage analysis and give examples where they improved our spatio-temporal understanding of complex biological systems. He will cover topics from image restoration, segmentation, tracking and self-supervised learning and will conclude with an overview of future research.
