Ada Lovelace Guest Professorship
The Ada Lovelace Guest Professorship is a prestigious visiting position for internationally recognized researchers in the field of AI and data science. Embedded in the diverse and interdisciplinary research environment of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig – one of Germany’s leading AI competence centers – the professorship supports outstanding scholars who wish to contribute to research, teaching, and knowledge transfer in AI. During their stay, the Ada Lovelace Guest Professor will:
- conduct and initiate collaborative research
- contribute to teaching and mentoring activities
- deliver a public lecture in their field of expertise, engaging students and early-career researchers
- serve as a visible role model, particularly for underrepresented groups in AI
Hosted at TUD Dresden University of Technology (in the current phase), the Ada Lovelace Guest Professorship includes:
- a 6–12 month stay in 2025 or 2026
- a monthly salary of €5,500 (full-time, 40 hours/week)
- optional student assistant support (19h/week)
- a travel allowance
- access to cutting-edge research infrastructure, including high-performance computing resources
- opportunities to collaborate with more than 150 researchers across both sites of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig
