On June 12, 2025, ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig took part in the AI Week, which was organized by the Graduate Academy Leipzig at Villa Tilmanns in Leipzig. Led by Vanessa Kuhfs, four scientists discussed in the fishbowl conversation Responsible AI: Reflection on the Use of AI in Science how AI can be used meaningfully but also critically at Leipzig University. The main topics of the discussion included:
Our two participating scientists, Dr. Hermann Diebel-Fischer and Dr. Robert Haase, agreed that they hope that users of AI will build a critical distance to generated data in the future. They also emphasized the importance of the transparent sharing of used outputs and having established rules on the use of AI in science and beyond.
