Summer University 2026: Study Orientation in the STEM Disciplines
Events

On July 15, 2026, 13 pupils visited the Living Lab in Dresden as part of Summer University 2026 at TU Dresden. The program was led by Dr. Iryna Okhrin and Moritz Müller. The visit began with a short introduction to ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig provided by Dr. Iryna Okhrin. Together with the pupils, she discussed use cases for AI in everyday life, chances and risks, and whether they used AI for homework. With those discussions the picture became clear. AI is an useful tool, but technical errors and ethical implications need to be questioned. Afterwards, Moritz Müller provided an overview of the demonstrators. The pupils were then free to play around with the applications, exploring AI for themselves. Covering topics such as generative AI, machine learing, or image segmentation, the group was able to dive into the current research directions of our center.
