Posters by Attendees

Participants have the voluntary opportunity to bring a poster on their own work, with the main purpose to foster exchange among them on their background, work and knowledge.

The upper part of this page informs all attendees about when and where to find posters. The lower section contains instructions for poster presenters.

Permanent Exhibition

During the overall week, an “open space” room is available to the attendees. One of its uses is to allow for the continous display of all posters present, such that they can be visited, viewed and discussed at any time of convenience.

Depending on the eventual number of posters, the walls of the room and/or poster stands will be used for hanging them.

Wednesday, June 24
12:15 – 13:15

This dedicated session serves as a time where everbody gets a chance to focus their attention on the posters provided and to meet their presenters.

As of June 5, we expect to transfer half of the posters to the main room, for ample space to gather around them. Further details on this session remain to be provided, likely just a few days prior to school’s beginning.

Instructions for Presenters

Poster display is only assured if your poster is pre-registered, either during registration for the summer school or by sending an email.

For Poster Preparation

We aim at low barriers for deciding for a poster contribution and thus try to grant much freedom.

  • Format: The recommended paper size is A0. Your poster shall not be larger, but may be smaller.
    • Portrait as well as landscape orientation are equally fine.
  • Content: There are only minimal and self-evident requirements for your poster.
    • It must be a professional poster, i.e., it reflects (part of) your work, preferably with some relation to the theme of the school.
    • It must adhere to good scientific practice, e.g., be free of plagiarism, discrimination, insult and similar violations.
  • Style: No requirements nor limitations.

You may bring a poster from another occasion. However, we recommend to revise an existing poster to reflect former feedback on it and adjust it to the school’s audience.

For the Poster Session

As of June 5, instructions for the poster session will follow later.
