On December 15th 2022, ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig invited the Machine Learning Community Dresden (MLC-DD) to its Living Lab. This was a great opportunity to discuss various Machine Learning topics in a cozy and relaxed environment with a Christmas atmosphere.
Program
After some warm drinks and Christmas cookies, Dr. Christoph Lehmann explained how diverse the term probability is and which interpretations are associated with it. This included, for example, quantifying the probability that Santa Claus will bring us presents. Spoiler alert! Turns out it’s not impossible after all!
Then Norman Koch presented asanAI, a browser-based no-code machine learning toolkit that allows anyone to design and train machine learning models, even on a smartphone. But it wasn’t all Christmas mood and interesting pitches. In addition to the immersive virtual reality experiences, attendees enjoyed the numerous original retro video games from popular Atari, Commodore64, and Sega consoles.
Machine Learning Community Dresden (MLC-DD)
MLC-DD is a community of Machine Learning practitioners based in Dresden. The members are exchanging both experiences and knowledge about their work with Machine Learning. The goal of MLC-DD is to approach and use machine learning as a community. Therefore, the members are supporting each other beyond institutional boundaries.
