On 15.10.2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Ching-Yun Huang (黃青雲), the Economic Counselor, and Mr. Chung-Lung Ho (何忠龍) from the Taipei Representative Office in Germany to the Living Lab of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig at TUD Dresden University of Technology. The Economic Department of the Taipei Representative Office in Berlin represents the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs in Germany.

Their visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the diverse research initiatives taking place at ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig. Together with Mr. Ching-Yun Huang and Mr. Chung-Lung Ho, we explored ideas for collaborations between our center and the vibrant research and industry sectors of Taiwan. In this context, we identified various topics that could foster potential for mutual growth and innovation. Furthermore, Dr. Luisa Hermann presented the Graduate School of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig, highlighting its extensive educational exchange programs. Those programs are essential for cultivating the next generation of professionals in the fields of AI and Data Science and setting them up with an extensive international network.

In the future, we are looking forward to the prospect of follow-up discussions and the formation of topic-specific working groups to strengthen these international ties. These collaborations promise to enhance our academic and industrial endeavors, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in both fields.
