On 11.12.2024, the Living Lab in Dresden hosted an exchange meeting focusing on the integration of AI in education and the education of AI. In this event, the junior research group Situating AI-based Mentoring led by Dr. Sandra Hummel, brought together prominent figures from Austria’s academic community, including:

  • Ortrun Gröblinger, Deputy Head of the Central IT Service at the University of Innsbruck
  • Dr. Michael Kopp, Head of the Center for Digital Teaching and Learning at the University of Graz.

In the beginning, Dr. Siavash Ghiasvand presented an overview of the activities and research directions at ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig, setting a collaborative tone for discussions on potential partnerships with both universities. The dialogue also extended to opportunities for collaboration with the Forum Neue Medien in der Lehre Austria, emphasizing a collective commitment to enhancing digital education and research.
