Self-determined Life in Old Age Through Artificial Intelligence

The theme day “Self-determined life in old age through artificial intelligence” is aimed at senior citizens and representatives from the field of elderly care and offers a practical insight into the possible applications of artificial intelligence for a self-determined life in old age.

Older people, in particular, can benefit enormously from artificial intelligence: Voice assistants that help with shopping; smart appliances that make household tasks easier; apps that help with preventive health care. But how do these technological helpers work? And what does the term artificial intelligence mean?

ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig will address these and other exciting questions in cooperation with the Ambient Assisted Living Labor Görlitz and invites you to the Living Lab in Leipzig.

In addition to a presentation on the basics of artificial intelligence and big data, there will be the opportunity to interact with an AI chatbot, experience an interactive technology presentation and ask any questions about artificial intelligence.

At the end of the theme day, Kerstin Motzer (Senior Citizens’ Representative of the City of Leipzig), Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoff (Gerontologist University of Applied Sciences Görlitz/Zittau) and other experts will discuss the topic “How can AI help to solve the challenges of an ageing society?” and present perspectives.

The event is free of charge.
