First Big Data All-Hands-Meeting in Dresden

Platzhalterbild
Events

From 02-03.06.2016, the first Big Data All-Hands-Meeting took place in Dresden. This symposium was jointly organized by the Big Data competence centers:

Both centers are supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

One of the main goals of this symposium was to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and information about current research highlights in the field of Big Data. Because of that, the event was aimed at:

  • project participants from the funded competence centers,
  • various research and development projects, as well as
  • stakeholders from other Big Data and Smart Data initiatives.

Primarily, the event focused on the professional exchange between scientists and company representatives. Furthermore, the promotion of synergies through the opportunities to present own solutions from the projects as well as the exchange of different approaches were also highly important. This intensified networking between the projects and initiatives in order to strengthen the research field of Big Data throughout Germany in the future.

Program of the First Big Data All-Hands-Meeting

The 2-day program consisted of a variety of highly interesting keynotes from Science and Industry. Poster sessions and numerous networking opportunities rounded out the program.
