At the 10th International Summer School on AI and Big Data, Prof. Daniel Buschek will give a presentation in the field of Human Computer Interaction and AI.
In this talk, we explore how generative AI might reshape various kinds of writing activities, such as emails, scientific papers, and creative writing. With examples of interactive prototypes from our group, and related user studies, we investigate the impact of AI on both text and writers themselves. We critically discuss emerging tradeoffs and constructively envision user interfaces that go beyond current systems like ChatGPT.
Daniel Buschek is a professor of Mobile Intelligent User Interfaces at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. His work and background is at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction and applied AI. Concretely, with his group, he explores interaction with generative models for text and images to shape the future of working with AI tools in a human-centred way. His previous experiences and locations include Media Informatics at LMU Munich, and HCI and Machine Learning-related projects at Aalto University and the University of Glasgow.
