Events

Together with University of Leipzig´s (UL) department of Statistics (lead by Jun-Prof Alexander Kreiss), the Department of Statistical Learning organizes a weekly seminar series.  In that series, we invite scientific guests from two different areas: our international speakers stem either form the field of Statistical Learning, Probability and Dynamical Systems; or from Stochastic Topology and its Applications. So far, we hosted the following guests (in random order, not a complete list):

Outreach

Our department will establish a wide range of outreach activities. One of our team members, Dr. Erika Roldan Roa has extensive experience in reaching out to the general public and thereby lowering the obstacles for the general public of getting in „real touch“ with mathematics and its related topics.

Outreach activities will include the Celebration of Mind event created in memory of Dr. Martin Gardner.

Courses

In order to obtain more information on scientific courses, please visit the curriculum of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Leipzig University.

Conferences

In 2023, we will host the 8. Bayesian, Fiducial and Frequentist (BFF8) Conference here at University Leipzig. The BFF7 was held in 2022 in Toronto. Soon, we will give more information about this international conference.

Calendar

There are a multitude of events organized by our department. Please visit the official ScaDS.AI calendar for upcoming events.
