Bio 

Prof. Erhard Rahm is a professor of Computer Science (databases) at Leipzig University, Germany, and one of the directors of the AI and Data Science Center ScaDS.AI (Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence) Dresden/Leipzig. He received his doctorate and habilitation from the University of Kaiserslautern and completed extended research stays in the US (IBM Research, Microsoft Research) and Australia (ANU). His research focuses on Big Data and data analysis as well as techniques for data integration and data quality. He is the author of more than 300 scientific publications and books, which have been awarded several times, including with the renowned “VLDB 10 Ten Year Best Paper Award” and the “ICDE Influential Paper Award”. He is also vice president of the German Informatics society and member of several review boards of funding agencies such as the DFG (German Research foundation).
