As part of the Digital Mobile Classroom (DigiMoK) project to promote education around artificial intelligence, coding, and robotics, expert interviews have been conducted with our researchers in collaboration with Helliwood media & education. In the coming weeks, we would like to present you with an expert video every week. As the videos are in German, we will use the blog post to contextualize them and describe the research of each expert. The second video in our series looks at Jannis de Riz’s research and the accelerated development of vaccines using artificial intelligence:
In this video, Jannis de Riz explains how he uses artificial intelligence to develop new vaccines faster on the computer. Instead of conducting lengthy experiments in the lab, they use AI to simulate which vaccines might be most effective. The researchers give the computer information about possible vaccines, and the AI then says which ones might be best – almost like a computer game where you choose the best character for a mission. The goal is to quickly find effective vaccines against future diseases. Jannis‘ research shows how AI can help us respond more quickly to health crises.
