Expert interview with Patrick Ebel on Computational Interaction and Mobility

26.03.2024 // SCADS

As part of the Digital Mobile Classroom (DigiMoK) project to promote education around artificial intelligence, coding, and robotics, expert interviews have been conducted with our researchers in collaboration with Helliwood media & education. In the coming weeks, we would like to present you with an expert video every week. As the videos are in German, we will use the blog post to contextualize them and describe the research of each expert. The third video in our series looks at Patrick Ebels‘ research on how AI can help make smartphones and cars safer and easier to use:

How can AI help make smartphones and cars safer and easier to use? Patrick Ebel’s research examines how people use touchscreens. The goal is to improve devices so that they automatically adapt to preferences. This is especially important in cars, where the screen should not be distracting. Researchers are developing virtual twins that mimic human behavior to create technologies that are safer and more intuitive. This video shows how AI is influencing our everyday lives, creating technologies that both suit us and protect us.
